SOS Marketing

Well, it’s quite obvious that this site is the SOS Marketing website.

My name is Justin Taylor. Before I go into more detail about who I am, let’s give a quick overview of what this site is all about and what you can expect to find here.

This site was a a direct result of building, designing and testing many different wordpress style websites and blogs. I decided rather than making a bland test site that I would create my own personal website. Which I did at Speakingbadger.com. But over time, I began using tools and doing things that naturally had me following my passions for marketing.

So I decided that I wanted to keep my personal website, personal and about me… I want it to be my own personal hub, but not a business hub of all things marketing. The first version of the speakingbadger website wasn’t even a blog, it was just some pages and pictures.

How did the SOS Marketing.us website evolve?

First off, as result of my personal website, I have become an expert in the area of building and using the Wordpress platform…. Since it was time to take my personal business to it’s own site and not leave it on my personal website. But since I’m an entrepreneur at heart, I’m always learning and testing what I know and I have business partners and other businesses; it only made sense to build a website around my business name.

Second, since there are always new tools and marketing processes that need to be tested, this is my own personal project, that I will continue to use to do projects that I enjoy, when want to test something out, or when I want to create a new partnership with someone and not attach my other businesses or projects to it.

Marketing is an art, it is evolving and as I said, it is a passion of mine.

Writing, politics and anything related to technology and automation simplicity, are other passions, so naturally a site built on a wordpress blog means you will find a lot of interesting marketing and advertising information, with writing, automation, political links and technology involved.

So who is Justin, why “SpeakingBadger” and what is SOS Marketing?

Many months ago it became apparent how important it was to give “SpeakingBadger” a home on the web and perhaps even share some of the significance of that name. You might be asking, why SOSMarketing.us?

The answer is quite simple. SOS is a universal signal for assistance or help. It is something easily recognizable and as an acronym it can mean many things. You may from time to time find me using some of those acronyms that SOS stands for. Stay tuned in the future for some contests I plan to implement, more as a test than anything, regarding the SOS portion of the name.

What Qualifies Justin Taylor to talk about Marketing?

Marketing has been a part of Justin’s life for almost all of his adult life. He has a BS Degree in Marketing and a BS degree in Advertising Management from Portland State University, in Portland, Oregon. PSU has an amazing business program, that is growing and gaining more and more prestige and recognition from all across the country. It is is the heart of the Marketing Mecca, Open Source programming and one of the most livable and green cities in the entire United States.

Justin is pursuing his MBA and also is a partner in another Marketing Consulting Firm, which consults businesses of all sizes in a variety of marketing areas. 4Ligo, creates marketing plans and helps to implement all areas of the plan, through both what the companies associated with 4Ligo can provide and the strategic partnerships 4Ligo has created.
